Rihanna, longtime Queen of the Met Gala, has once again won the theme for fashion's biggest night of the year.
The singer/icon showed up to tonight's Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination-themed event dressed as an actual high fashion pope. I repeat: RIHANNA DRESSED LIKE A POPE.

The Young Pope who?! It's all about The Bad Gal Riri Pope from here on out and if someone doesn't launch a miniseries or new religion with that title then I give up. For her Catholicism-inspired look, Rihanna wore a pearl and jewel-encrusted robe, matching papal mitre and necklace, Christian Louboutin heels, hoop earrings by Maria Tash, and jewelry by Cartier. The entire look was designed by Margiela, marking the first time the singer has worn the designer to the Met Gala.

Though Riri has slayed many a Met Gala red carpets in the past, this year marks the first time the singer has co-hosted the event, alongside Amal Clooney nonetheless.

In case you somehow forgot Rihanna's winning themed looks of the past, last year she wore an avant-garde Rei Kawakubo look to the Met Gala honoring the Comme des Garçons designer:

And before that, she stole the show at the 2015 China: Through The Looking Glass themed event in an ornate, yellow fur-trimmed robe by Chinese couturier Guo Pei.

It's Rihanna's Met Gala world and we're all just living in it. Amen.
