Keke Palmer has shocked fans as she spends her 30th birthday with ‘ex-boyfriend’ Darius Jackson. Rumors surfaced that the two had split, after he made controversial comments about her dress at an Usher concert, via social media. However, the two seemed closer than ever as they celebrated her 30th birthday over the weekend.

Recently, the Disney Channel alum starred in Usher’s music video, for his new single, Boyfriend, which fans were living for, as some hailed it “the funniest thing imaginable.” However, the same fans are now shocked as they see the latest update between the two, over on Instagram Live.

Taking to his Instagram, the fitness instructor went live while on a date with Keke, celebrating her 30th birthday.

In the video, the Hollywood actress can be heard thanking her ‘partner for taking her out. “But I just thank you for making it special for my birthday, that’s so sweet,” she beamed.

The two then got into a conversation about star signs, especially Virgos. Jackson then said: “My mom’s a Virgo, my brother’s a Virgo, my best friend’s a Virgo, my partner in crime’s a Virgo,” referring to Keke, whose 30th birthday was on 26 August.

He also penned a birthday message to the actress on X, formerly known as Twitter, as he wrote: “Happy Birthday to a one-of-a-kind being. Hoping your 30s bring you many joys & triumphs!”

Attached, Jackson posted a video of the Emmy Award winner playing with their son, Leodis Andrellton Jackson, who was born earlier this year.

Fans are ‘shocked’ to see the reconciliation

Upon seeing the video between the two, many fans who thought the two had parted since the controversy shared their shock.

“NO WAY THEY’RE BACK TOGTHER??” questioned one user.

“I’m crying y’all was writing think pieces defending her and she got right back with him,” said another.

However, other fans understood why the two would be on good terms, after having a son together.

“Having children together makes it so different! You need to let the past be the past and perform as mature adults!” exclaimed one.

Keke and Darius reportedly broke up after the incident

After making controversial comments about his partner’s outfit after she was brought on stage by Usher, multiple sources alleged the couple had gone their separate ways.

One source told PEOPLE that Darius had allegedly ‘moved on’ amid the controversy. “He’s moved on,” the source claimed.

However, neither of the couple has addressed their relationship status publically, although, after the gestures for Keke’s birthday, it seems like they’re on quite good terms.
