Selena Gomez has taken to her Instagram to wish Francia Raísa a Happy Birthday, despite rumors of an ongoing feud.

Francia donated her kidney to Selena Gomez back in 2017 amid the singer’s battle with lupus. However, after a certain statement made by Gomez, it seemed like the friendship may have taken a toll. We take a look into the friendship between the two, and what the 31-year-old had to say to her friend on her special day.

Selena Gomez wishes Francia Raísa the Happiest of birthdays

Selena, who recently celebrated her own birthday, took to her 427 million Instagram followers, and wished Francia the ‘Happiest of birthdays.’ In the caption, she wrote:

“Happiest of birthdays to this special human being. No matter where life takes us, I love you. @franciaraisa,” alongside a red heart emoji.

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum shared three pictures of the pair to the grid, as they were all smiles whilst posing for the camera.

In the front pic, the celebrity besties can be seen smiling and enjoying a glass of bubbly together.

The newly turned 35-year-old liked the post and has since refollowed Selena on the ‘gram after unfollowing her after she made a statement saying Taylor Swift was her only friend in the industry.

At the time of writing, the post has over 6 million likes, with one of them being Francia. Fans of course rushed to the comments when they saw pictures of the two pop up on their timeline.

“Shutting down those drama allegations with EASE,” exclaimed one fan.

“Selena, it’s attitudes like these that make me fall in love with you more every day, your kindness inspires me, I’m proud to be your fan,” wrote another.

“Can people just stop w the allegations already? Let them live,” another penned.

Paris Hilton also commented on the post, leaving two heart-eye emojis.

Inside Selena Gomez and Francia Raísa’s friendship

Selena and Francia met in 2007, and had been great friends ever since, even moving in together. In 2017, the Grown-ish star even donated her kidney to Gomez, after her health took a decline. They then also got matching tattoos to commemorate the moment.

However, it seems like things may have gone South in the friendship after Gomez branded Taylor Swift as her “only friend in the industry,” and Raisa wasn’t mentioned in her documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me.”

After the statement was made, the How I Met Your Father actress took to Instagram to write “interesting” before unfollowing Selena.

Back in March, however, the Disney Channel alum called Francia her “best friend” during an interview for Apple TV+’s “Dear…”

It looks like the alleged feud is now behind the pair as Francia has recently followed Gomez back on the platform.
